As a member of Amnesty International I am very much concerned at threats made against the Belgrade Pride and its organizers. I urge the Serbian authorities to ensure that participants in the Belgrade Pride are guaranteed their rights to freedom of assembly and association and protected from physical attack and abuse ; furthermore prompt, impartial and effective investigations should be opened into any persons suspected of making threats or attacks against the organizers and participants in the Belgrade Pride, (including verbal threats and threats made in the print and electronic media), so that the perpetrators are brought to justice.
