Take part in Urgent Actions by SMS
To join the network send the message UA to this number : 3313 (1 € by SMS).

What is an Urgent Action ?
This is one of the most efficient techniques used by Amnesty International. It implies a network of people ready to send messages rapidly (by email, fax or post) to the authorities in different countries on behalf of individuals in danger.
This network of people is alerted when individuals are in danger of torture, unfair trials, cruel, inhuman or degrading treatment or the death penalty and also to avoid forcible return to a country where they risk these human rights violations.
The Urgent Actions and SMS, how does it work ?
Every week, we will send a SMS (1 € by SMS) to your cell phone giving the details of an individual in danger, asking you to intervene. You send us an SMS (1 € by SMS) in return with your first name, your surname and your address. Your signature will be added to the appeal we will send to the authorities.
You will be able to read the complete story of the individual in danger and follow their situation on our website www.isavelives.be.
You can stop your subscription anytime you want by sending us a SMS containing the message STOP.
The cost of the SMS goes towards Amnesty International’s work and its research in favour of individuals in danger.
You can also act by e-mail : subscribe to our e-letters.
